Background

The Black Public Relations Society- New York (BPRSNY) is a professional organization dedicated to the enhancement and exploration of the most current issues concerning African-American public relations practitioners. BPRSNY, also known as “Beepers NY,” presents an array of educational, thought-provoking forums and networking opportunities, primarily, but not exclusively, aimed at African-American practitioners throughout the tri-state area. 

Sessions are open to members and nonmembers in the field of public relations, marketing, advertising and communications. Our core, tri-state area membership steadily climbs each month. This network is comprised of opinion leaders, influencers and media throughout the U.S. and abroad. BPRS has earned a fine reputation of hosting informative panels featuring top professionals in the field who have readily shared their experiences for the upliftment of the entire group. Forum topics have featured crisis management, diversity issues, health care, stress management, political campaign communications, audience development and promoting the performing arts.

Further, members serve as key liaisons to influential constituent audiences, corporate America, leadership groups, institutions, government, public policy, entertainment and the arts.
