Biography

Dutch born Annemarie Minke knew from the age of 5 she wanted to be near a kitchen. She attended The Hotel School in Belgium where she graduated in 1981. She was chef at several of Belgium’s and Holland’s top rated restaurants before moving to the United States in 1989 when Annemarie was asked to prepare the Christmas dinner for a prominent NY family on their yacht in the Caribbean. Shortly after she became their private chef in Manhattan. To date she still takes certain private chef jobs for shorter periods of time.

Annemarie has a quality that puts guests, hosts and staff at ease.   While  running a successful private chef service her clientelle steadily grew. She quickly learned that with her Dutch sense of business and a keen understanding of how to entertain (the Belgian influence) she did have a lot to add to the world of entertaining in New York City.

Annemarie has ideas, lots of ideas she put them to work by founding her own catering and event planning company Annemarie’s Feast Inc. in 1997. 

In  2006 Annemarie was asked to cater and plan a wedding on the luxury island of  Roatan, Honduras.  It was the birth of a consulting department at Annemarie's Feast  specializing  in Resort F&B start ups abroad along with staff training programs.  Traveling back and forth while adjusting to  the rapidly changing industry was fun and happened  naturally. Chef Miha who has been with Annemarie's Feast since 1999 took over the catering department in 2007 while Annemarie focussed on consulting for the hotel industry abroad. In 2009 www.mihajuriccatering.com became an independant catering company.  

 As recent as 2010 Annemarie's Feast added a unique service for weekenders traveling outside of NYC. Organic, home cooked family meals are delivered  in the Duchess county area.
